From the Bana Pele Secretariat
Welcome

The Bana Pele movement is already taking shape in communities, early learning centres, municipalities, places of worship, boardrooms and government systems across South Africa. This quarterly update brings together some of the people, ideas and partnerships helping turn the Shared Blueprint into action, from practitioners solving problems every day to organisations testing new ways of working together.
We are still in the beginning stage of bringing the Blueprint to life. This edition offers a snapshot of the progress being made across the Orchestration Team, and of the work already underway in different parts of the system.
What connects these stories is a simple belief: the answers do not sit in one institution or one plan. They emerge when people share what they know, build on what already exists and keep learning from one another.
We call it Sandpit because orchestrating for scale takes curiosity, creativity and imagination: playing, experimenting, learning and doing it together. We want every actor to feel unafraid to get messy and try new things. It is the beginner’s mindset of a child, and it is what we need to reach scale.
